Brittany Wilkerson is a native of Central Arkansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Philander Smith University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Mrs. Wilkerson continued her education at the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences (UAMS), earning a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant (PA) Studies. After obtaining national certification from the NCCPA, Mrs. Wilkerson specialized as the Bleeding Disorders PA at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH), with a focus on rare benign Hematological disorders. She has maintained national certification and is a full time Assistant Professor in the UAMS Physician Assistant Program. She is also faculty in Academic Affairs, Culinary Medicine Department. PA Wilkerson is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and a nationally certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional. Her interests include helping others develop healthier lifestyle habits to reduce risks associated with preventable diseases and mentoring. She also enjoys volunteering for organizations to advance her community including the ACH Childhood Center for Obesity Prevention Community Advisory Board, UAMS Head Start Health Services and Education Advisory Committee, Girl Scouts, and the PA program 5K race to benefit the Arkansas food bank. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
