Destiny Chau, M.D.

Dr. Destiny Chau is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. After an undergraduate degree in engineering, Dr. Chau received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and remained there for her anesthesiology residency training. She subsequently completed a pediatric cardiac anesthesiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2010.

Dr. Chau has a special interest in lifelong wellness and wholeness. Healthy nutrition is essential for healthy bodies and minds. Practical knowledge of food and its preparation, along with simple, nutritious and delicious recipes provide powerful tools for the practitioner to advice, connect and encourage healthy choices for our patients. Dr. Chau comes from a farming family who have deep respect and immense gratitude to the land for providing sustenance and health.

The Culinary Medicine curriculum provides a fun hands-on way for healthcare trainees to learn about food and nutrition along with evidence-based impact of food choices on health and disease. Healthy food availability along with healthy food choices will promote lifelong healthier communities!
